What will the weather be like?

Answer

Early September in Michigan should be beautiful! In the afternoon 75°F is average, but anywhere from 60°F - 85°F is a reasonable possibility. It will cool down by several degrees after sunset. Please dress accordingly!

Is the wedding outside?

Answer

Yes, our ceremony and reception will be outside. Dinner will be under a tent and dancing will be in the barn. The ceremony will be on grass (so wear appropriate shoes!), but dinner and dancing will be on concrete and wood floors.

What should I wear?

Answer

Weather appropriate cocktail/garden party attire. We recommend wearing flat shoes or block heels because the ceremony is on grass. No jeans and leave white to the bride please.

Who is on the invitation?

Answer

We are only able to host people who are listed on the invitation. You can find who is listed on the invitation by: - opening the virtual save the date - tapping on the "Give your info button" - entering your first initial and last name - and selecting your name All of the guests included on your invitation appear on this page. They will also be on your physical invitation which should arrive in Spring/Summer 2026.

Are children invited?

Answer

We love all of your children, but our venue and vendors have limited capacity so we will only be able to host guests, including children, who are on the invitiation. Adult children who are invited will receive their own invitation. We are only inviting minor children of the wedding party. However, if you have a baby who will be under one year old in September 2026 please reach out to us.

Can I park at the venue?

Answer

Yes, the venue has a grass field with ample parking. You may leave your car there overnight, but must pick it up by 9:30 AM the next day.

I already know that I cannot attend, what should I do?

Answer

We aren't collecting RSVP's yet and we hope that your plans change, but if you are absolutely certain that you won't be able to come celebrate with us please let us know so that we can give our vendors better estimates. Feel free to reply to your save the date text or email Lucas at demeylucas3@gmail.com.

How does the virtual save the date work?

Answer

We sent our save the dates out through Zola's guest text messaging service. We were only able to send one text per invite. It likely came from the Zola phone number 917-695-8058. If you reply to that message, we will receive it through our wedding website so feel free to reply! When you open the virtual save the date you should see a "Give your info" button. Please hit that to give us the address that you'd like a physical invitation sent to in Spring/Summer 2026.
