We love this giant food hall because it has great indoor and outdoor seating as well as a selection of the best food charlotte has to offer (everything from a burger to Asian fusion).
The best ice cream in the world - available in three convenient locations around the city. Zein suggests (demands) that you at least try the Gooey Butter Cake before making your order. For our Wine lovers, we recommend this beautiful botanical garden that doubles as an amazing wine bar. Also nice of them to name a location after our dog. :)
This is a beautiful park we love. It has great walking trails, beautiful picnic spots, and fun recreational facilities.
This is an outdoor lovers heaven! Activities include zip-lining, white water rafting, ropes courses, rock climbing, kayaking, etc. Different activities come with different costs, so check the website before visiting to determine what you would like to do. However there are hiking trails there that are free and beautiful to walk.
This is a paved walking path that runs along the Lynx Line and takes you all through South End. Flanked on both sides by restaurants, breweries, bars, shops, and many murals. This is an enjoyable walk and neat way to get to know this neighborhood.
Best rooftop bar in Charlotte with amazing views of the city's skyline!
Charlotte has a ton of Museums. Personally, we recommend the Mint Museum in Uptown (Art), however here are a few others to check out: Levine Museum of the New South, Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, Harvey B Gantt Museum for African American Arts, and the Nascar Hall of Fame. This is an excellent mountain to hike very close to the city. On clear days, one can see the Charlotte City skyline.
For all you NFL fans out there, the day after the wedding (Sept 19th @1pm) the Panthers are hosting the New Orleans Saints. The Panthers stadium is conveniently located in the middle of Uptown, with easy transportation options! Go Panthers!
