What will be the expected attire?

Answer

The expected attire will be garden party formal. For the most part, this is similar to formal attire (suit and tie/bowtie or a longer dress). For garden party formal, you are welcome to wear lighter colors if you would like! There are some pictures above for reference.

What time will the ceremony start?

Answer

The ceremony will start at exactly 2:00pm (no, we cannot wait for you if you are running late). We have some wonderful musicians who will be playing some music before the mass, so we strongly recommend getting to the chapel by 1:30pm.

Do you have any travel advice for the day of the wedding?

Answer

It's funny you ask that! Yes, we do! For parking at the University of Portland please park in the big parking lot next to the library, from there it will be a short walk to the chapel. Traffic between the two venues will be pretty slow, but there's no need to stress because there will be plenty of time before people are sat for dinner. Parking at the Abernethy Center should also be pretty manageable. There is a large lot specifically for parking at the Abernethy Center, with a small walk to our reception space, Abigail's Garden. There is also plenty of street parking available nearby if there is no room in the parking lot.
