As most love stories this day and age begin, ours too started with a swipe to the right. Scott and I matched on the dating app Bumble in December of 2016. Bumble is different than the others in the way that the girl has to message the guy first. Scott & I began messaging each other for a few days until I asked for his phone number to begin messaging off of the app. Scott was definitely playing a little hard to get. I suggested a few date options until finally one night I knew he was out at his work Christmas party in Scottsdale, close to my house, and invited him over for some pizza. He came back over two days later to watch the Bachelor with my roommates and I. Even though I think he was into the show, I knew he had to really like me to sit thru a show like that with my girls and myself. We went on our first official date around Valentine’s Day to our first Suns game downtown. From there basketball games became one of our favorite date nights. Scott played basketball all of his life into college. As a dancer, my hand-eye coordination is slightly lacking. It was fun learning about the game from Scott and I ended up becoming a Suns fan, which if you follow the NBA isn’t for the faint of heart! Along with basketball, we became big fans of traveling and exploring cities together. We’ve been to San Diego, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Michigan, Cabo, Denver, St. Louis, Knoxville & New York City together just to name a few. In February of 2018, we moved in together. We’ve been living in downtown Phoenix where Scott can walk to work during the week and we can walk to restaurants, sports games, comedy shows, and explore our city on the weekends. On Sunday, November 10th 2019 we went to a Suns game and to me it seemed like any other game night. After the game we met up with a friend and her boyfriend for a drink. When we got home, I was getting ready for bed and turned around to find Scott down on one knee with a ring in his hand! As they say the rest is history!
