We are asking that only fully vaccinated guests attend our wedding, and we have confirmed that all of our vendors will be vaccinated as well. We also ask that anyone who is not feeling well stay home, even if you have RSVPed yes. Unless circumstances change dramatically, we don't anticipate asking anyone to wear masks, but of course anyone should feel free to do so if it makes them more comfortable.
Pelican Watch is a covered, open air two level pavilion in Folly Beach County Park with direct access to the beach. Weather permitting, the ceremony will take place directly on the beach. Plan to dress for the Charleston summer heat!
While we both love kids, and understand that finding childcare can be burdensome, we unfortunately need to keep our guest numbers under control and therefore ask that children not attend. On the bright side, this can serve as a rare fun night away from the kids!
Beach formal. Linen pants, short or long sleeve button downs, sundresses, flat sandals, etc. Heels are NOT recommended. Feel free to adjust according to the weather, we want everyone to be comfortable!
There is a parking lot directly on the premises, and additional parking directly past the venue. Since Folly Beach County Park is open to the public, there is a slight chance that parking could be limited and we encourage guests to pool together as much as possible to limit vehicles. Be advised that Folly Beach County Park could possibly charge a 10 dollar parking fee. We've been told they don't do this for wedding guests, but just wanted to make everyone aware in case they decide to ask for the parking fee.
After driving across the bridge onto Folly Island, proceed to W Ashley Ave, the main road that runs parallel to the ocean. Turn right and drive about 1.5 miles, and you will reach the entrance to Folly Beach County Park. The Pelican Watch Pavilion is directly beyond the entrance gate. If using GPS, just enter Folly Beach County Park. Do NOT put in Pelican Watch Pavilion, as this might send you to the wrong place.
No problem, just feel free to reach out to either Meghan or Sam. Don't be shy!
