We're Getting Married!

"FOR REAL?!!" Cookie Cake. That's all my attention was focused on that day. Making an epic Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake for Rufino's Birthday Party (because the man lives for a good chocolate chip cookie). Little did I know how much the events of that evening would take the cake. In front of all our best friends, Rufino blew out the candles and gave in to the chants for a "Speech, speech, speech, speech!". That was his cue and suddenly, after the moment got heavy, I knew that it was happening. Ahhhh! You know how people say that they check out for a minute when big events happen? Yep, I stepped outside my body like Ghost (or Doctor Strange for the youngsters) and watched the next few minutes happen from another dimension. I'm pretty sure there where hugs and laughter but I couldn't see much past the happy tears and blubbery words.
