Reed and I both had swiped right on each other's Mutual dating app. I remember looking at his profile of very few words and few photos of him. I thought he was cute and swiped! It was an instant match, we started messaging back and forth and realized neither of us had plans for Labor Day, so I invited him over to watch a movie. Well not thinking he would agree on short notice, I was surprised to say the least when he said he would be at my place by 7pm for a movie and snacks! We awkwardly chatted over movie options, me denying and Star Wars or LOTR options as quickly as I could! So how we settled on a horror movie. Great first choice for two strangers, we talked through most of it and by the time it ended I wasn't ready for him to leave so we watched another movie! We soon after made plans to go see a RSL match, I was able to score front row tickets to the game, however the weather was not idea for a soccer game date, it down poured the entire match!! We were soaking wet but we stayed for the entire game. I knew Reed was keeper after that.
Reed and I made things official November 11th,2017 and a few months later we knew we were in love. Over the past few years we have traveled to Idaho to his hometown of Mountain Home and out to Scranton Pennsylvania my home town. We've survive countless hours in the car together, he's braved a lot of solo concerts from me on those trips. We also learned we have to different approaches to airport travels, Reed who likes to have ample amount of time prior to our flights and me who tries to spend the least amount of time at the airport before boarding. We balance each other out with equal levels of stress! We both have a love for cities, some of our favorites places we've gone have been New York City, Boise and Washington DC. We also have a love for walking the local Saturday farmers markets. Reed and I love to try new restaurants and always looking for recommendations! We've taken a lot of staycations here in Utah and continually fall in love with Utah's beauty. During out relationship Reed and I both experience great losses to our families. He was by my side as I navigated the loss of my sister Gina, who brought so much fun and laughter to our lives. We still find moments in our lives where we will stop and say "Gina would had loved this story or Gina would have been the first one to do that". I'm grateful to have had him by side during those time and moments. Reed lost his sweet Grandma B, who he loved and adore dearly. Grandma B was so wise, she had such a love of education and music. I we often think of her and the love she had for her family. I am grateful to have met and loved her in this life. Together with our lows we have been able to lift each other to some of greatest highs. We like to think our love for each other is like coming home. Always there for when you need it the most. We look forward to sharing so much more of our lives together, to constantly grow and most importantly taking in every opportunity to laugh with each and to love deeply.
