Can you share more details about Friday's Welcome Drinks event?

Absolutely! We are thrilled that so many of you are able to join us the night before our big day to kick off the celebrations! We have reserved the patio at Reelhouse (www.reelhouseboston.com) from 6pm to 9pm on Friday the 23rd. Reelhouse is one of our favorite restaurants with an unbeatable view of the skyline. This will be an open bar event with heavy hors d'oeuvres - so come hungry! The dress code at Reelhouse is fairly casual so wear whatever makes you comfortable! Just make sure to bring a light jacket as the temperature may drop as the sun goes down. A few options to get there: - Uber/Cab (~10 min drive from the hotel): Because the hotel is located near the airport there should be no issue grabbing an uber or cab. The concierge will be happy to assist with that as well. - Walk (~30 mi walk from the hotel): There is a really nice walkway along the harbor that starts right outside our hotel. While we think this is a great option with beautiful scenery for getting over to the event, we would not recommend walking back after dark. -Water taxi (~10min from pickup): Right outside the hotel is a water taxi stand. While they do not run a set schedule, there is a phone number posted for on-demand service as well as pre-scheduling options available here: https://www.bostonwatertaxi.com/. The cost per person is $20 - Drive (~10 min from the hotel): If you prefer to drive, Reelhouse does offer valet parking right at the door. In addition, there are a limited number of street parking options on the surrounding blocks.

Is there an after party?

Of course! We'll be keeping the good vibes going from 10:30pm-12:30am in the Harborside Ballroom (located right next to the tent)! Late night snacks will be served. Unfortunately, because Boston has a law limiting the number of hours we can host an open bar, the bar will need to be a cash bar.

What is the parking situation at the Hyatt?

Answer

The Hyatt does have parking for both those coming to the event only as well as those staying as overnight guests. Our discounted group rate is $20 for the event only & $30 per overnight.

Tell me more about the water taxi!

Answer

The water taxi is a really fun way to get from the hotel to either the Welcome Drinks or into Downtown Boston to explore! You can think of it as a personal harbor cruise and transportation in one! The water taxi stand is located right outside the hotel. While they do not run a set schedule, there is a phone number posted for on-demand service as well as pre-scheduling options available here: https://www.bostonwatertaxi.com/. The cost per person is normally $20 one way but the concierge can assist you in getting tickets at our group rate of $24 round trip!

Is there a room block?

Yes we have a room block set at the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor. While there is no code needed, please make sure to use the link provided to reserve. https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/group-booking/BOSHA/G-MFW6 Please note that the final day to book a room within the block is 5/24/2023. We also have recommendations for additional hotels on the Travel page if you aren't able to get a room within the block or would like to explore other areas.

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off, so we will not be having kids at our wedding.
