Things To Do

We're so excited to share a few of our favorite places in the area with you!
Cobble Lookout Trailhead

Cobble Lookout Trailhead

Co Hwy 18A, Wilmington, NY 12997

Type in Cobble Lookout Trailhead on Google maps or on the All Trails App - the trailhead is located on the way up to the Whiteface Mountain Summit. This trail is one of our favorites as it has a great view and round trip is only 2.4 miles so its a great hike for the entire family.

Whiteface Mountain Peak

Wilmington, NY 12997

If you haven't been to the top of Whiteface we highly recommend - there are views the entire drive up and plenty of spots to pull over and take it all in. At the top there is a short trail to the peak and a small gift shop. A must-do in the Lake Placid area!

Mount Van Hoevenberg

Mount Van Hoevenberg

31 Van Hoevenberg Way, Lake Placid, NY 12946

Mount Van Hoevenberg is the home to cross country skiing in the winter but has some great hiking and a mountain coaster in the summer. Hiking through the ski trails is definitely an awesome experience - round trip to the summit viewpoint the East Trail is 3.6 miles with a moderate incline. View the trail on the All Trails App for more details!

Big Slide Brewery & Public House

Big Slide Brewery & Public House

5686 Cascade Road, Lake Placid, NY 12946
, (518) 523-7844

Big Slide is located near the Ski Jumps - about a 5 minute drive from town but definitely worth a stop. Big Slide has some great food and drinks, they are also affiliated with the Lake Placid Pub & Brewery.

Lake Placid Pub & Brewery

Lake Placid Pub & Brewery

813 Mirror Lake Drive, Lake Placid, NY 12946
, (518) 523-3813

This brewery is right in town across the lake - definetly walkable and has some of the best food and beer! Plenty of seating both indoors and outside, it's one of our favorites!

Lake Placid Olympic Cauldron

Lake Placid, NY 12946

Lake Placid hosted the 1932 and 1980 Olympic Games - the Olympic flame is still there and is a good drive by activity - you can also stop at Big Slide on the way back. The 1932 and 1980 Olympic Hockey arenas are located in town near the Convention Center as well.

For all the days along the way
