Meghan and Kyle met through mutual friends, and at first Meghan wasn’t sure what to expect. As a Talbot County girl, she didn’t think she and “country boy” Kyle would necessarily hit it off — until they started talking and she quickly realized just how funny he was. Less than 10 days later, they were officially dating. Their first date was seeing A Quiet Place, which, for someone who hates horror movies, made for an interesting start. Between Meghan being nervous and the movie requiring complete silence the entire time, things were definitely a little awkward at first — but dinner afterward made up for it. Not long into their relationship, Kyle was already telling friends Meghan was “the one.” While Kyle was always confident in their future together, Meghan admits she was a little more cautious. She wanted forever badly, but being a realist, she was afraid to fully say it out loud. Over time though, their relationship only continued to prove itself through laughter, loyalty, growth, and unwavering support for one another. Over the last five years, Meghan and Kyle have built a relationship full of memories, laughter, and plenty of picking on each other along the way. From high school truck meets in Walmart parking lots, annual trips to the Delaware State Fair, duck calls echoing through the truck, Kyle doing burnouts in Meghan’s 2009 Toyota Corolla, and family trips to Tennessee, they’ve created a life full of fun in both the big and little moments. They’ve also walked through difficult seasons and losses together at a young age, experiences that only strengthened the foundation of their relationship. In 2025, Kyle proposed in Gatlinburg, Tennessee with the mountains behind them — and he even picked out the ring completely on his own. As they begin this next chapter, Meghan and Kyle are most excited to continue doing every part of life together, especially one day becoming parents and building a family filled with love, laughter, and the same joy they bring out in each other every day.
