In the modern age of digital living, Meghan and Kevin met through the dating app Bumble. Kevin and Meghan planned their first date for a Friday night at a local Mexican restaurant, El Campesino. That night, Meghan and Kevin, both knew this match had potential as they connected over chips, salsa, and margs. They were so smitten with each other, that they made plans to meet up for coffee the next morning. The rest of the story unfolded from that point forward.

Meghan and Kevin grew closer through their love of traveling. Some notable places they traveled to while dating include Iceland, NYC, Chicago, Hocking Hills, Charleston SC, Asheville NC, Sanibel Island, Las Vegas, Shenandoah National Park, and the Outer Banks. After four months of dating, Meghan and Kevin spontaneously booked a flight to Iceland. Neither of them had traveled out of the country before, but they were a blissful couple in the early stages of falling in love. They wanted to explore new places together. In March of 2019 they traveled to Iceland. Surrounded by the beauty of the Icelandic landscape, their relationship truly evolved and their bond grew stronger. They learned how each other handled challenges, and how they seemed to work so well together as a team. For both of them, their relationship felt natural and organic. During one of the last nights of their trip, Meghan and Kevin were walking through the grounds of Hallgrimskirkja (the church of Hallgrimur) in Reykjavik. Unexpectedly, the northern lights made an appearance as they were standing there. To them, it was a sign from the heavens that their love was meant to grow and was something special.

On their fifth year of dating, Meghan and Kevin celebrated with a trip to Banff and Jasper National Parks in Alberta, Canada. It was a dream of theirs to travel to the Canadian Rockies since they became illusioned and influenced by local hiking adventures they went on and by Instagram travel accounts. The morning of the engagement started off with a hearty breakfast at the Mount Royal Hotel in downtown Banff. Then they embarked on a 11.1 mile, 2,600 elevation gain hike, known as Healy Pass. They wined their way through dense coniferous forest, trickling glacial springs, and colorful alpine wildflower meadows to reach the summit. The rain, hail, mosquito bites, and exhausted bodies were all worth the breathtaking expanse of mountain ridges and peaks that filled their horizon. They lingered at the summit, taking it all in, before hurriedly making their way back down to their car. Kevin was a little nervous they would be late for their dinner reservation and proposal. The timing thankfully aligned that afternoon and they were able to catch their lift on the Banff Gondola. They rode the gondola up into the clouds above the city towards an observation deck and the Sky Bistro, their dinner spot for the night. Kevin planned to propose while they were taking in the views from the observation deck outside the restaurant. Kevin searched the crowd for someone suitable enough to film and photograph the proposal while Meghan admired the mountain peaks and valley below. As Kevin guided Meghan over towards a viewing spot for photos, it began to rain lightly. As they stood to take a photo, Kevin got down on one knee and asked Meghan to marry him. She easily said 'Yes!!'. They embraced as the rain slowly fell. Afterwards, Meghan expressed the misty rain and clouds added to the romance of the moment. After the big moment, they enjoyed champagne and amazing cuisine at the Sky Bistro, and continued on their Canadian Rockies trip in giddy engagement bliss.
