We're getting married!

Meghan's Version: Jordan's been known to love a good game of croquet, so it's fitting that a croquet game at a mutual friend's house was where we were first introduced. Fast forward a few months later, to another croquet tournament, and we started chatting. Jordan was witty and had on a ridiculous outfit, so we had a few laughs and a crush developed...on my end at least! A couple months later we both ended up on a trip to Las Vegas where we had a few more laughs and got to spend more time together. My crush was in full force by the end of the trip! I flew home earlier than he did and spent the whole flight asking my friends for advice. They talked me into texting him, which was out of my comfort zone! I finally worked up the courage and texted Jordan to tell him I had fun hanging out with him and suggested we should do it again. A few nerve-wracking minutes later, he finally responded! And his response? Something along the lines of "yeah, I had fun too. Maybe sometime." So needless to say, I was a bit crushed. But, I couldn't feel bad for not trying! Luckily, I received a surprise text the next day from Jordan and he asked me to dinner and to see a Harry Potter movie. It's been love ever since. :) Jordan's Version: I knew of this girl my friends called TBird. She was a friend of a friend. The first time we really talked was at a yearly croquet tournament my friends and I have (3 time champ in 6yrs, not to brag or anything). I couldn't tell you anything that was said. I'd had a few beers that day and I'm sure my charm was at 100%. I thought she was cute and I'd probably see her again. Like a Russian submarine in American waters, she was on my radar. Fast forward a few months and we're on a group trip to Vegas together. The more we hung around each other the more I liked her. What happens in Vegas stays with you for 4 1/2 years and then you get married. I'm a lucky man. We had our first date not long after we got back and she's been by my side since.

Jordan and I went to Indian Lake, Ohio for a weekend trip. After a day spent out on the water, we had dinner and then went back to our Airbnb to decide how to spend the rest of the evening. Jordan mentioned a hiking trail on one of the islands that was supposed to have pretty views of the lake. We drove to the island and started walking the trail. The map showed a few off-the-trail stops and Jordan suggested we try one of those for the view. Every one of those spots we came to were already occupied, so we kept walking! We weren't sure we were going to find a good spot to take in the lake. Luckily, we turned the corner on the trail and found a spot that wasn't marked on the map. We stopped and the internet was right, the view was gorgeous! Jordan and I started talking about how much fun we had been having on our trip and hugged. When we pulled back from each other, he got down on one knee! He popped the question and I couldn't believe it was actually happening! I was so surprised I kept saying "oh my gosh, no, no, no, oh my gosh!" Jordan had to ask, "are you really saying no right now?!" and I was able to finally get out a "yes!" It was the perfect moment with my favorite person.
