Welcome to our wedding website!

We have postponed our wedding until May 14, 2022, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you all for being so supportive, and we hope to celebrate with you all in May! Love, Meghan & Jayson

IMPORTANT COVID-19 INFORMATION

We have been waiting a long time to celebrate with you all and are looking forward to it more than you know! However, we feel strongly about trying to decrease COVID-19 risk where possible so that we can all enjoy the weekend. Some of our guests are at particularly high risk of developing serious complications if they were to contract COVID, including the mother of the groom, Valerie Batz. (Please see her "famous" story here: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10159713541452112&substory_index=0&id=55160732111). Thus, we are committed to monitoring local and regional COVID-19 trends and science, meeting or exceeding protocols mandated by local government at all times. If you would like to attend the event, please realize that we ask that you abide by the health and safety measures in effect at the time of the event, which may include (but are not limited to) wearing masks, providing proof of vaccination status, and/or providing proof of negative COVID test. If you find yourself unable or unwilling to comply with the guidelines in place at the time and choose not to attend the event, we will certainly miss you but will understand and appreciate the honesty. Please feel free to discuss any concerns or questions with Meghan and/or Jayson. Specific guidelines are noted below. Please check back often for updates!

SPECIFIC COVID-19 GUIDELINES

At this current time, we are planning to require the following measures: 1. If you (or someone you have had close contact with) experience symptoms of COVID-19 or are diagnosed with COVID-19 in the 7 days before the wedding weekend, please do not attend any wedding event. 2. We are further requesting that all guests take either an at-home COVID test within 24 hours of attending any wedding-related event or a molecular/PCR test within 72 hours of the first wedding event. If you have concerns about locating or financing this test, please reach out to Jayson (847-650-0599) or Meghan (248-941-5210) for assistance. 3. We plan to provide wristbands that will indicate your comfort level at large gatherings. (For example, green might mean that you are comfortable with handshakes and hugs, yellow that you opt for elbow bumps, and red that you prefer 6 feet of social distancing.) Please take a wristband to wear yourself and respect the comfort level of other guests as indicated by these wristbands. 4. It is possible we will have areas of the venue designated as mandatory mask zones for the comfort of some of our guests who prefer to take extra precautions. Please be on the lookout for such areas and comply with any guidelines. 5. We realize that it is not possible to avoid all risks, especially since many of you are traveling to the wedding. However, especially for the safety of our highest-risk guests such as Jayson's mom, we respectfully request that you avoid potential COVID-19 exposure as much as is feasible within the two weeks leading up to the event. This may include avoiding prolonged indoor exposure to those outside your household and wearing a mask whenever close contact with others is unavoidable, amongst other precautions. We thank you all for respecting our wishes and for helping to keep our other guests safe - we appreciate it more than you know! We hope to see you for a COVID-free event in May :).
