We met at Mizzou in the first week of Meghan's freshman year and James's sophomore year. We lived in the same dorm and were looking for friends. Our dorm made a group chat on Snapchat in which we added each other separately and let the conversation roll from there. From the first date at a dining hall on campus, we clicked and quickly became best friends. As time, although not much, passed the love between us was undeniable.

Over spring break, we took a trip together to Boston to see his family. James took Meghan out to The Gurnet which was a very pretty peninsula in Plymouth, Mass. We went up to the top of the lighthouse to enjoy some amazing views. James let Meghan take her pictures of the view and pretended to take pictures himself when he was really just waiting for the right moment to pop the question. After Meghan said yes and we kissed, James's family cheered from below.
