Our Story

Jack and I first met his freshman year of college. He was shopping, and I was trying to recruit new employees for the upcoming holiday season. Long story short, I became his boss a few months later. He was interested first; I didn’t even consider giving him a chance because not only was I his boss but he was also younger. We were at completely different stages in our lives. After a little convincing, Jack and I went on, what I didn’t know at the time, was our first date. We went to lunch together, a movie and then evening service at Embrace Church. After church, we both knew this wasn’t going to be any ordinary relationship. We both truly believe God placed us in each other’s lives for a reason. We haven’t looked back since that day! -Meghan I had just began living in South Dakota and was starting my Freshman year at the University of Sioux Falls. I went shopping at the mall with some buddies and wanted to get some new shoes. Meghan was trying to add on to her sale (she succeeded as I ended up buying two pairs instead of one) and then proceeded to ask me if I was interested in working while in school and playing football. I took that offer and ended up dating my boss, we both soon after decided to leave this workplace and carry on our relationship. Our first date was something I will never forget as I had just lost one of my teammates to a car accident and Meghan wanted to take me out to lunch. We did this and then went to a church service and after this, I knew she was special. We haven't looked back since and I consider myself very blessed she asked me to work for her! -Jack
