Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park
State park filled with old grove redwood trees, a river and steam train. Go hiking or biking or take the train through the forest or down to Santa Cruz boardwalk. Also where we had our engagement photos taken!
Wilder Ranch State Park
Another state park with lots of hiking and mountain biking trail. Has beautiful views of the ocean and can ride into town from the park. Where I took my mountain bike for her maidan voyage.
Emerald Mallard
Great food spot attached to Humble Sea Brewery. Grab food and a beer after a big day hiking or at the beach. One of our favorite local spots.
BAD ANIMAL
Upscale Thai food and wine bar in a book store. One of our favorite dinner spots in Santa Cruz.

Great pizza spot with lot of different types of pizzas and slices.
Marianne's Ice Cream
Old school, homemade ice cream shop!
The Grove Cafe and Bakery
Cute bakery with great breakfast and sandwiches. Has a cute porch out back.
