As all good stories do, this one begins at a jewelry store looking at diamond rings. Meghan and Erik took on the challenge together to design the ring of her dreams. The ring was ordered and then the pandemic happened. Months passed and the ring was finally finished and Erik needed to figure out how to sneak out without causing suspicion, which proved very difficult when Meghan was spending every moment of her life in their new home. As a testament to their strong relationship and Meghan’s trusting nature, she believed when Erik got lost going to Target and the ring was secured. Next came the planning, and also a beautiful new family member. On Saturday, April 18th Meghan was finally going to fulfill her life long dream of adopting a dog, little did she know what else the day had in store for her. No suspicion was raised, not even when Erik urged her to get dressed up to adopt a dog or insisted on drinking all the beer so they would have to walk to the brewery with Matilda. Little did she know that that walk to the brewery was leading to a very important question. Erik had already made arrangements with the staff at Crystal Lake Brewing, invited their families, and arranged for the moment to be filmed so all their loved ones could be a part of it. And even though he couldn’t convince Matilda to deliver the ring on her nose, it was a dream come true when he dropped to one knee behind her that day. The rest, as they say, is history.
