FAQs

Question

Where will the wedding celebration take place?

Answer

We'll be celebrating on the Fisherman's Sun Terrace at the National Nordic Museum in Seattle. Since we'll be outside and Seattle weather can be somewhat unpredictable, it's a good idea to wear sunscreen and bring layers.

Question

Will there be a formal ceremony?

Answer

Nope! We already did the getting married part - now we're excited to celebrate with our family and friends.

Question

What kind of food will be served?

Answer

Our dinner buffet will feature both vegetarian and pescatarian options. If you have dietary restrictions or allergies, please note those in your RSVP so we can share that information with the caterer.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! We'll ask about the ages of any kid guests in the RSVP since that information impacts our catering order.

Question

What is the deadline to RSVP?

Answer

So we can finalize arrangements with our caterer, please RSVP no later than July 1st.

Question

Any recommendation for things to do in the Seattle area?

Answer

Some of our Seattle favorites include: - Charlie's Queer Books - Elliott Bay Book Company - Cafe Flora - Bop Box/Made in House - Cafe Hagen - Bar Bayonne - Chuck's Hop Shop - Central Cinema On Sunday before the event, the Ballard Farmers Market takes place from 9am to 2pm at Ballard Ave and NW Market St; we highly recommend it. Afterwards, you could check out the Ballard brewery district (most locations are kid friendly) or you could check out some of the nearby parks, such as Golden Gardens (Seattle's best beach) or Discovery Park, a giant park with a great mix of forest, meadows, and rocky seashore right in the city.

Question

How do I get to the Nordic Museum? How do I get around in Seattle?

Answer

The Nordic Museum is in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. The easiest way to get there from Downtown is by bus. The D Line and the 40 are the most direct route, but you can also take any northbound (towards Lynnwood) light rail train to the U District stop and then transfer to the 44 bus line right outside the station which will take you direct to the venue. Public transit is free for folks under 18. Payment can be made via Orca Card or any tap and pay credit card. More info here: https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/metro I guess you could also drive. Parking at the museum is free for our guests. http://shoup.bol.ucla.edu/PrefaceHighCostFreeParking.pdf
