We are So Excited To Celebrate With You!

Eddie Welborn and Meghan Chambers first met in Mrs. Milke's 3rd Grade class at Audubon Elementary. Throughout their grade school careers, they became close friends and saw each other through many milestones. As they entered college, friendship blossomed into infatuation which quickly turned into love. After 4 years of long distance, they found themselves back in Audubon and started contemplating the next step in their adventure. Soon, they moved in together and made a beautiful home. The next couple of years were full of travel and adventures during which they grew as a couple. On September 1st, 2019 in Emerald Isle, North Carolina, Eddie took the plunge and asked Meghan to marry him. With the threat of hurricane Dorian looming, Eddie suggested they take a walk on the beach during what might be the last good sunset before the hurricane hit. They walked hand in hand down the beach to almost the exact spot where they had first said "I love you", and Eddie stopped and sent his drone up to "take photos of the sunset." He told Meghan to face the ocean because he wanted to take some "artsy" pictures and then handed her the drone controller (which displays the video feed from the drone). As she stood there, Eddie asked how the video looked...she looked down to see him on one knee behind her. Meghan turned, crying and laughing, to face Eddie who was holding out a stunning ring. He made a beautiful, heartfelt speech and asked "Meghan, will you marry me?." YES! And so starts the next chapter of their lives together! They cannot wait to share their special day with all of you.
