Celebrate our marriage with us!

In early 2011, both of us had become members of the Eclectic Company Theatre in Los Angeles. In April, Meghan was performing as part of the ensemble in one of the theatre's plays, and David was a member of the audience. David was intrigued by Meghan right away. A group of people from the theatre were going to a Karaoke bar after that night's performance. Meghan had been planning to go straight home, but was persuaded to go ahead to the bar by Meghan and David's mutual friend, Kerr. At the bar, Meghan and David started chatting and hit it off. We bonded over a mutual interest in Beatles Rock Band, and when we finally had their first date in May 2011 it was to play Beatles Rock Band at David's Apartment. Our first kiss was on May 18th, 2011, which is the day that we now celebrate our anniversary of being a couple. That night, after our first kiss, David said, "Let's see where this goes," and it has gone some amazing places since then.

After more than 10 years together, David surprised Meghan by asking her to marry him. One evening David went into Arthur's room to tell him that it was time for bed and he should go say goodnight to mommy. Then David told him, "Hey, come with me, I'm going to go and ask Mommy to marry me." Arthur went with David, and Meghan looked puzzled. David could see in her eyes, "What's going on?" And then David told Meghan that he didn't want a civil partnership because he wouldn't be able to call her his fiance. It took Meghan one second to realise what David was saying. And that's when she said, "Oh, my God, are you asking me to marry you?" David said, "Yes," and he offered her the engagement ring that had been passed down by her mother. It was the most beautiful tears that we have ever shared. David cannot believe this wonderful woman said yes!

We decided to legally marry on May 25th, 2022, in a small ceremony near our home. The ceremony was streamed live to our family. It was a beautiful afternoon ceremony, followed by drinks, and an amazing meal just the two of us.
