Question

Will the ceremony and reception be inside or outside?

Answer

If the sun is shining and the weather is nice, our ceremony will be outside on the lawn. If you’re planning on wearing heels, just remember you’ll be walking on grass to watch us say “I Do!”We recommend a block heel or wedge for walking on the grass. If there happens to be rain on August 6th, our ceremony will be inside the country club. Our cocktail hour will be set up both on the outside deck and the inside bars. The reception will be taking place in doors, in the cool air conditioned reception hall.

Does your wedding have a theme?

Answer

Cody and I both love being by the water! Our wedding will have a nautical touch to it. Our colors are navy, dusty blue, gold and white. Whether you’re writing a message in a bottle or admiring the sailboat centerpieces, you’ll see our love for the ocean!

What should I do if I can’t attend?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive half an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled! The ceremony will start at 5pm so we recommend you try to arrive for 4:30pm on August 6th!

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only (16+) event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us!

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We are having an “unplugged” ceremony. This just means that we are asking all phones and devices to be off/ on silent for the ceremony. Why? We’ll, we have hired a professional photographer to capture some of the best moments of our lives, and we’d hate to have a well-meaning persons phone block them from capturing beautiful moments. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you want! We just ask that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #theringfitz so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

Can I bring a date?

In order to keep our guest list on track we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Please feel free to email us with any questions!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! Our dress code is Semi-Formal. This means that you should wear the nicest thing you have easy access to. If you don’t already have a tuxedo or a floor length gown, a nice cocktail dress or a suit is perfectly acceptable!
