We kindly ask guests to dress in elevated casual attire that’s both comfortable and appropriate for the season. Our celebration will take place outdoors in the beautiful Colorado mountains during the fall, so we recommend dressing in stylish layers that will keep you warm and comfortable throughout the day. Suggested attire includes: • Sweaters, cardigans, or tailored jackets • Casual dresses or skirts with tights • Dressy jeans or slacks paired with a nice button down top and sports coat • Boots or closed-toe shoes suitable for uneven ground Evenings can get chilly, so we encourage guests to bring a warm coat or wrap. We want everyone to feel cozy, confident, and ready to celebrate in style! Suggested color palette: To complement the natural beauty of the season, we recommend wearing warm, earthy tones and muted shades inspired by the changing leaves and mountain landscape. Think: • Deep burgundy, rust, or terracotta • Forest green, olive, or sage • Mustard yellow or golden ochre • Navy, charcoal, or warm browns • Soft neutrals like cream, taupe, or oatmeal These hues will photograph beautifully against the autumn backdrop while allowing your personal style to shine through.
Yes! There will be designated parking available just outside the venue. Signage will help guide you when you arrive.
Please plan to arrive 30-45 minutes before the ceremony begins to allow time for parking, seating, and settling in. We want everyone to be relaxed and ready to enjoy the celebration!
Transportation will not be provided. Please note that rideshare and taxi services are very limited in the Florissant area. We recommend coordinating carpooling with other guests or renting a vehicle if you're traveling from out of town. Plan accordingly to ensure a smooth arrival and departure.
Both the ceremony and reception will be held at Idlewild Ridge Ranch. The ceremony will take place outdoors, surrounded by beautiful mountain views, and the reception will follow at the barn on the same property, with both indoor and outdoor spaces available for guests to enjoy.
In late September, Florissant typically experiences cool, crisp fall weather. Around the weekend of September 20th, you can expect average daytime highs in the 60's and 70's with evening lows getting down to the 30's and 40's. We recommend dressing in layers and bringing a warm jacket or wrap for the evening. The mountain air can be chilly once the sun goes down!
