Question

What does "Costume Optional" Mean?

Answer

Costume Optional means optional: If thinking about it brings stress, feel free to come dressed in anything that makes you comfortable. If costuming makes you excited, please check the Gallery page for some vibes and suggestions.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please bring who is listed on your wedding invitation, who are either listed by name or an unlisted plus one. If you have any additional requests, please reach out to us ASAP.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

Thank you in advance for sending your RSVP before July 15th, 2025. Please RSVP at the RSVP tab here on our website.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outdoors. We recommend flat-soled shoes or wedges to avoid sinking into the grass. The reception will be tented. In case of rain, it will be fully covered.

Question

When should I arrive at the wedding ceremony?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive by 3:30PM EST (30 minutes before the start of the ceremony) to make sure everyone is seated on time. If you would like to participate in the scavenger hunt, please arrive earlier. The Nature Center is a lovely place to take a walk, you are welcome to arrive earlier to explore the area.

Question

Where should guests park?

Answer

The Nature Center (144 Oenoke Ridge, New Canaan, CT 06840) has a large parking lot to accommodate all guests. It is also a short walk from the New Canaan train station if you are arriving via public transit.

Question

What type of food will be served at the wedding?

Answer

We'll be serving dim sum at cocktail hour (not vegan), family-style dinner with vegan and pescatarian options (gluten free TBD), and cake for dessert (vegan and gluten free TBD). There will be an open bar at the reception. For the send-off party, the New Haven Pizza Truck will create a variety of pizza flavors. Some pizzas will be gluten free and some will be vegan. Note: They cannot guarantee that there will be no cross-contamination of gluten from the other pizzas in the oven. We will have other gluten free snacks available as well.

Question

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you feel extra inclined, please donate to our house fund through the registry located on this website.
