The Meyers

Our journey together began long before we started dating. We first met as kids at St. Francis of Assisi School, where we were classmates from Kindergarten through 8th grade. But it wasn’t until high school that our story really took off. In our junior year, we attended prom together thanks to our mutual friends, Ben Kinkor and Erin Small, who helped coordinate the night. That night was just the beginning—after prom, we continued to talk and hang out, and on June 14th, 2019, we officially started dating. From our first date at Baskin Robbins in West Des Moines, it was clear that we had something special. We spent hours talking about everything under the sun, and were best friends. Though we navigated the distance between Ames and Iowa City during our undergrad years, we made it work, supporting each other through the highs and lows. After graduating in December 2023, we celebrated by taking the trip of a lifetime to Europe, where Charlie surprised Meghan by proposing in the heart of Amsterdam. The day was perfect—he had every detail planned, including a local photographer to capture the moment. It was the most unforgettable day, and we can’t wait to celebrate our next big moment with all of you on August 16th!
