We met our junior year of high school, although we attended different schools. A mutual friend set us up to go to Boonville's 2017 Christmas Dance. The first time we were around each other was at the Fall Festival in 2017. Here, we rode the ferris wheel together with a group of friends, but we didn’t sit together because we were too nervous to talk to each other! A month later, we went on our first "date", although we were just friends. We went to the Newburgh riverfront and sat on a bench and talked for hours. We attended Boonville's dance together and remained just friends for the next couple of months, but it soon turned out to be more, and we began dating on February 17th, 2018. And just a little under six years later, we (finally) got engaged!
