Things To Do

Old Port

Portland, ME

Enjoy this historic waterfront neighborhood in downtown Portland! Most destinations are about 15–20 minutes from the venue. Highlights include: Becky’s Diner – A local favorite (and where Meg worked in college!). Expect long waits and limited parking—have a backup brunch spot in mind. Maine State Pier – Catch a ferry to a Casco Bay island (we love Peaks!). Nearby: Flatbread and Brickyard Hollow Brewing Co. Longfellow Books – A cozy new & used bookstore near Monument Square, close to the Nickelodeon Cinema, Portland Museum of Art, and State Theatre. The Holy Donut – Famous potato donuts with fun flavors and ocean views on Commercial St. Bar of Chocolate – A dimly lit dessert-and-cocktail bar tucked away on Wharf St. Taco Escobarr – Laid-back Mexican tavern with great food and drinks.

Eastern Promenade

East Portland & Falmouth, ME

Scenic park and walking trail with bay views. Nearby favorites: Portland Paddle – Kayak and paddleboard rentals right on the water. Mackworth Island – Walkable island connected by bridge; beautiful and easy to explore. Gilsland Farm Audubon Center – 65-acre preserve in Falmouth with trails through fields, woods, and marsh. Otto’s Pizza – Great artisan pizza near several lively bars.
