We’re so excited to share a few of our favorite places in the area with you. We hope you get see the sites and eat some wonderful food on your trip!

Virginia Museum of Fine Arts

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts boasts art pieces that span more than 6,000 years from around the world. The museum's permanent holdings encompass nearly 40,000 artworks, including the largest public collection of Fabergé outside of Russia, the finest collection of Art Nouveau outside of Paris, and one of the nation’s finest collections of American art. On Fridays, the museum offers a weekly happy hour, where guests can enjoy wine, beer and light appetizers on their terrace or within the sculpture garden. General admission is free, and it's about a 10-minute Uber from both hotels.

Scott's Addition Historic District

Richmond, VA 23230

Located about 10 minutes from both hotels, Scott's Addition is a revitalized Richmond neighborhood and the hub of the city's brewery scene, with cideries, taprooms and distilleries housed in converted warehouses. Bold street murals and string lights brighten the area, and seasonally focused restaurants, a retro bowling alley and cinema make it a Richmond staple. Some favorite spots in Scott's Addition include Blue Bee Cider, The Veil Brewing Company, Väsen Brewing, Lunch|Supper and Stella's Grocery.

Cutest shop in RVA (in our unbiased opinion), located in Scott's Addition and where you can find everything from antique and vintage furnishings to gifts and home accessories.

Carytown

Nestled in the heart of Richmond, Carytown is a unique shopping, dining, and entertainment district. With a focus on small, locally-owned businesses, Carytown is home to the historic Byrd Theater as well as several unique dining and boutique shopping destinations.

Stella's Grocery

One of our favorite restaurant's in Richmond (Stella's) has opened a gourmet market where you can stop in for coffee or a quick bite to eat!

University of Richmond

Not only is it where the bride went to college, but it's also a beautiful area to walk around and pass some time before the festivities.

Libby Hill, Richmond

Libby Hill is located on the southeastern spur of Church Hill, overlooking the James River and the Lucky Strike building. It is known for Libby Hill Park and "The View that Named Richmond". Libby Hill Park is a short walk from the historic St. John's Church. It is also a short walk to the Church Hill neighborhood which has many farm-to-table restaurants, BBQ spots, and Italian cafes that sit alongside vintage stores and home decor shops.
