Yes it is! Your room rate includes your room, all your meals, and drinks (including the boozy ones). We do recommend bringing some small bills ($USD) to tip your resort staff, but it isn't required, just appreciated :)
The dress code for our wedding is formal beach or cocktail attire. Think your favorite cocktail dresses or pants and button down shirt (long or short sleeve welcome). Dress shorts are welcome too! Full suit and tie if you'd like, but not necessary. We know it's warm in Jamaica :) Please no casual shorts and t-shirts.
1. PASSPORT: You MUST bring a valid passport in order to enter and exit Jamaica 2. Save time at the airport by filling out the REQUIRED C-5 form online needed to enter Jamaica https://www.enterjamaica.gov.jm/ 3. AIRPORT: Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay (MBJ) a. Mid-day, this airport can be VERY busy which means longer lines! Please plan accordingly. We recommend departing the resort 3-4 hours prior to boarding if your flight back home is between 12PM-4PM. **please note, this is based on our personal experience, and is only a recommendation** 3. GROUND TRANSPORTATION: If you have booked your airport/resort transfers through our travel agent Paradise Weddings, you are all set! If you are still in need of transportation, please either contact Paradise Weddings at (877) 737-0177 for shared shuttle service or book a private shuttle through Major One Tours: https://www.majoronetours.com/product-category/airport-transfers/montego-bay-airport/lucea-area/ **please note - if you try and book a taxi upon arrival, it will be very expensive**
1. Bring a light sweater or similar for evenings 2. Bring an insulated cup (aka your favorite Yeti or Stanley) to keep your drinks extra frosty in the Jamaican sun! 3. Bring sunscreen from home – if you purchase sunscreen from the resort we promise the cheapest bottle you will find is $30 USD 4. No need to worry about power adapters – Jamaica uses the same outlets as the US! 5. Waterproof phone case or small waterproof bag – why risk having to put your phone in rice while you’re on vacation? We recommend packing something waterproof to put your belongings in. That way you can head to the swim up bar with zero regrets 6. $$$ USD – small denominations (we like to bring $1 bills). While tipping the staff is not required, a couple of bucks here and there goes a long way for the folks working extra hard to make sure we have a great stay!
1. There are two sides to the resort – Lady Hamilton AND Jamaica. Once you are checked in at the proper lobby, guests from either side of the resort have access to the entire property 2. The resort is BIG! If you love to get your 10,000 daily steps in, you’ve come to the right place. If not, no worries! There are golf carts that will pick you up and drop you off where you need to go! Either give the lobby a call from your room or just simply wait outside your building until the next cart drives by. They are on constant loops 3. RESTAURANTS: All a la carte restaurants recommend making a reservation ahead of time. If the restaurant you want to eat at is booked up, no worries! Just walk to the restaurant and request to be put on the wait list. It usually doesn't take too long to get a table and there are bars at each spot to hang out at while you wait. If you are extra hungry and want to eat ASAP, we recommend the buffets. Otherwise, please make sure to check out the many a la carte restaurants. Our favorite so far has been hibachi!
1. If you don’t already have WhatsApp downloaded, we highly recommend it! Please join the bride and groom’s WhatsApp group to find out where and when we can all meet up throughout the week! Just contact Meg or Seb to request an invite to the chat. Don’t worry – blue iPhone and green android texters alike can be in the chat together!
