We’re getting married! Nos vamos a casar!

Q: What do you love most about Meghan? A: Everything! I knew I was going to marry her when I first met her. I love the way she smiles. I love who she is at her core. She is an amazing woman who has a million best friends, and I am just lucky to be one of them. When I asked her to marry me, I told her that I want to do the hard things with her, not just the sunshine and rainbow things. Q: What does Meghan do that makes you crazy? A: (laughter) What type of crazy? (wink wink). She can be too hard on herself, sometimes she loses sight of what all of us see: an incredible, loving and kind woman. Q: If you could take her anywhere in the world where would you go, why? A: Watertown, SD (laughter just kidding). I would take her on a summer long tour of Greece and all the surrounding islands. I want to take her somewhere she wants to go, too often she puts others’ needs before her own, she deserves a trip just for her. Q: What did you think when you first met Meghan? A: Peach emojis??? (laughter). I fell in love with her energy, she has an effervescent spirit. I sensed that as soon as I met her, I love that people gravitate to her and her energy! Q: Who said I love you first? A: Meghan! Almost two years ago, it was a night we both had school, she hadn’t yet met the boys and she was on her way out of town. She sent me a text, and in her very Meghan way said she would follow-up in person, so that’s what we did! Q: How does she make you better? A: How doesn’t she make me better? She brings out the best in me, she pushes me to be a better father, man and also allows me to be myself as well. She’s just the best human, woman, future wife I could ask for. I am ready to ride this rollercoaster called life with her.

Q: What do you love most about Jesus? A: Jesus has a genuinely kind and gentle heart and is so much fun to be with! He is incredibly adventurous and always make me laugh. He is constantly planning our next adventure or grilling up delicious meals, two of my favorite things. I admire how much he loves his family and would do anything for them. But most of all he loves me unconditionally. Also, he watches garbage television that I enjoy, and complains very little while we do so. Q: What does Jesus do that makes you crazy? A: Get in the shower at the precise time we are supposed to be in the car. He makes me look timely AF. Q: If you could take him anywhere in the world where would you go, why? A: I would take him to Portugal, because he has always wanted to go there. I don’t know anything about it, I just know he wants to go and that’s all I need to know. He spends so much time building up the lives of those around him, he deserves to fulfill his dreams! Q: What did you think when you first met Jesus? A: (wolf whistle) Besides that he is incredibly handsome? I was immediately attracted to his motivation, his dedication to his sons and his wisdom. One of the first things he told me was, “I am going back to school so I can be the best version of myself for my sons”. They are the center of everything and I love that about him. Q: Who said I love you first? A: Me! I really thought I was going to burst, so I snuck out of class to send him a text, then I cried overwhelmed and happy tears in the library because I couldn’t wait to see him. Naturally, I sped over to his house after class so I could tell him again in person. I maybe told him I loved him 100 times that day. Q: How does he make you better? A: I can be vulnerable with Jesus, unlike anyone else. He effortlessly makes me feel safe and loved. When I am overwhelmed or feel like it is all falling apart, he centers me. When I am with him, I feel like I can accomplish anything.
