Our story started in 2020, thanks to two people who knew us well enough to see something before we did. There were dinner parties, boat days, new restaurants, pottery classes, holidays taken very seriously, Caribbean sailing with our people, horseback rides tied to Buck's childhood, and plenty of spoiling Matilda, Figg, and Fatty. Over time, the distance that started our relationship became the thing that made it clear. We had learned each other slowly and honestly, without much to hide behind. The old letters Meghan loved became new ones from Harrison. The virtual drinks became a home full of people. The beginning that felt unlikely became the life we kept choosing. On Christmas morning in 2023, Meghan’s favorite day of the year, Harrison proposed at home in front of the tree, with just the two of us and our animals there.
