Flight
This is the closest airport to the French Quarter, which is approximately 20 minutes away by car (without traffic). I recommend using rideshare such as Uber or Lyft to get to the event as the French Quarter is highly walkable and the area is not very parking friendly (although many of the hotels have valet).

Hotel
There are several good options within the French Quarter (room blocks are not currently available however I will update this below as things change). This is the weekend following Mardi Gras, and so I recommend booking as soon as possible! -Hotel Monteleone (https://hotelmonteleone.com/) -The Roosevelt New Orleans (https://therooseveltneworleans.com/) -Hotel Mazarin (https://hotelmazarin.com/) -Bourbon Orleans (https://www.bourbonorleans.com/) -The Eliza Jane (https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/hotel/louisiana/the-eliza-jane/msyub) -Bienville House (https://bienvillehouse.com/) Here is a list of some other great hotel picks: https://www.thehotelguru.com/en-us/best-hotels/united-states-of-america/new-orleans-french-quarter **I recommend avoiding Royal Sonesta unless significant noise and action on Bourbon street if your thing!**
Travel Note
This party is the weekend following Mardi Gras (officially on 3/4/25). While the festival lasts for several months, most of the bigger parades and parties will be the weekend before through Mardi Gras day (Thurs 2/27/25 through Tues 3/4/25). If you choose to come in early to celebrate carnival, I highly recommend booking hotels and flights as early as possible. The prices can be more expensive at this time of year and the spaces fill up quickly.
Travel Note
New Orleanians are friendly and talkative, so get your party on!! Alcohol is allowed on the streets but not as open containers inside of vehicles. **Watch out for pickpockets and scammers in the French Quarter!**
