Kids are welcome to join us for the ceremony, but we’ve decided to keep the reception adults-only. As much as we’d love to celebrate with your little ones, we’re keeping the evening celebration kid-free. The only exception will be for infants under one year who are still breastfeeding. Thank you so much for understanding!
Our dress code is semi-formal—think polished, stylish, and celebration-ready, but not overly formal. Outfits you'd wear to a nice dinner, cocktail party, or festive gathering are all perfect. Since the celebration is outdoors, here are a few things to keep in mind: Choose attire that's dressy but comfortable - Cocktail dresses, midi dresses, or jumpsuits, and coordinated separates are all great options. A suit or dress pants with a button-up shirt is perfect. Jackets are welcome but ties are totally optional. Avoid thin heels, as the ground may be soft or grassy—wedges, block heels, or dressy flats are great alternatives. A light jacket or layer is a smart addition—it tends to be get cool in the evening. And if the idea of swapping into comfier shoes for dancing speaks to your soul—we highly encourage it! Wear whatever helps you break it down on the dance floor.
Yes! Or at least, we'd strongly encourage you to - Vermont has a lot of great things going on, but public transportation and driving services (Uber/ Lyft) are not up there on the list. If you are flying into the Burlington airport, we'd suggest you rent a car from there. From the airport it's about a 50 minute drive to Middlebury and 1 hour 10 minute drive to Brandon.
We've added a bunch of options to Travel section! We'd recommend you find a spot in either Brandon or Middlebury! Middlebury is a bit of a larger town, so there are more restaurants and shops to explore.
We are sorry to say that pups will need to be left at home ... that includes Tilly and Elmer :(
