It all started on Facebook — of all places. What began as casual messages quickly turned into long conversations that seemed to go on for hours. For a year, we talked many days, getting to know each other through words, jokes, and late night chats. Even though we hadn’t met in person yet, there was already something special there — a connection that felt easy, real, and familiar. Then one day, he moved down to the Keys for work. Not long after, he sent me a message saying he wanted to take me out on a date. I’ll admit, I tried to cancel. Maybe I was nervous… but he was persistent (in the sweetest way). He didn’t give up, and somehow I knew I shouldn’t either. So I went, with taking my best friend with me because I just couldn’t go alone.😅 And from the moment we met, it felt like everything just clicked. It wasn’t awkward or uncertain, it was like seeing someone I’d known forever. The conversation flowed, the laughter was effortless, and by the end of that first date, I think we both knew this was something real. Since that day, we’ve been inseparable.
