Yes — a valid passport is required for entry to Costa Rica. Be sure it’s valid through at least July 2027. No visa is required for U.S. citizens visiting for less than 90 days.
It’s about a 1-hour drive from Liberia (LIR) to the Westin. You can travel by private transfer or rental car. We’ll share more info closer to the date.
We recommend arriving at least a day or two before the wedding (January 17, 2027) to settle in and enjoy the resort. The rehearsal dinner will be the evening of January 16, and an informal farewell brunch meetup will happen on January 18.

The ceremony and reception will be outdoors (weather permitting). Please dress accordingly as it will be sunny and warm!

Costa Rica uses the Costa Rican colón, but U.S. dollars are widely accepted at the resort and in tourist areas. Credit cards are also accepted nearly everywhere.
