Question

HELPFUL REMINDERS

Answer

WATER: The drinking water at the resort is filtered, including the ice. However: DO NOT brush your teeth with sink water (tap water- not to be confused with water you get at the restaurants). All sink/tap water is a no no. Don’t do it. You can bath in it, just don’t consume it. FOOD: Use your own discretion on food handling and raw foods. Also be cautious of foods that may be rinsed under tap water (salads, unpeeled fruits etc). PREFERRED CLUB FOLKS: If you booked a preferred club status, you get access to extra pools, restaurants- including AC breakfast and lunch- and more. I highly recommend downloading the Hyatt inclusive collection app to see what those perks entail. DAMP RID: Soaks up the humidity in your rooms. We suggest to bring one if you can RESORT SPA: Wedding guests of Megan and Nathan receive a 20% discount per person on spa services and 10% discount per person on spa products (subject to conditions) BUT we highly recommend traveling down the beach to “ TROPICAL TREASURES SPA” to book your spa needs. You won’t beat those prices- trust us. FLOATIES: Lots of people bring inflatable swim floats and leave them at the resort. SUNSCREEN: It is highly recommended that you bring your own instead of buying it at the resort. DRESS CODES: Restaurants may have a dress code. This resort is relaxed about that, but men, be cautious this may include sleeveless shirts, tank tops, hats and flip flops. If you’re unsure, download the app to see each restaurants dress code. BREATHLESS: Don’t forget, everybody has access to breathless next-door including their beach, pools, restaurants, bars etc. This includes everything minus the exhale club (onyx’s version of preferred club). TIP MONEY: No need to exchange for pesos. They gladly accept the US dollar.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

To the resort: Yes. To our wedding events: No We encourage a child free vacation for everyone, but we understand this is your vacation too! If you bring the littles along, kindly note that all wedding events including the rehearsal dinner, ceremony & reception are adult only.

Question

Will the wedding events take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

All wedding events are currently scheduled to take place outdoors. This includes any rehearsals, welcome parties, ceremony & reception. The ceremony will be held at the fountain gazebo. The reception will be held on the beach It is recommended that clothing and footwear are kept lightweight and comfortable. Ladies, if you choose to wear heels, I’d recommend to avoid stilettos and stick with a chunkier heel as the reception will take place on the main beach! Flats and sandals are the recommended footwear.
