We know coming to an island in the PNW is not an easy feat and we are so appreciative that you're making it! _________________ There are two ways to get to Bainbridge Island from Seattle if you are planning to rent a car: 1. You can take a ferry from downtown Seattle (20 minutes from SeaTac) to Bainbridge. This takes 35 minutes and is a beautiful boat ride. 2. You can drive around the Puget Sound and take the bridge onto the north end of the island. This is about a 1.5 hour drive from the airport. Option 1 is the more scenic route and is optimal if you plan to arrive on Thursday or by Friday morning. The ferries are incredibly busy in the summer and wait times to drive on can be over an hour. If you plan to arrive on Friday afternoon, we’d recommend that you drive around to avoid any delays. If you are not renting a car, you can walk on the ferry and will not risk being overloaded. Let us know if this is your plan so we can help with transportation on the island side!

This hotel is located right over the bridge on the northend of Bainbridge. It's on the water and is a great option, especially because we will be ending up here after the wedding. For Islanders/Seattlites that want to keep the party going with us, we recommend getting a room at the Casino for Saturday night! If you have not booked a room here yet and want to, check in with Andy or Meg as we have a lot of rooms reserved.

Getting Around the Island

You'll likely want to rent a car at SeaTac, especially if you aren't staying in Downtown Winslow (our main town on the island) so that you can easily explore everything Bainbridge has to offer. That said, we'll have ample transportation for the night of the wedding so no one has to worry about celebrating and driving. There is also a public bus on the island (available through the Pingo App linked here) that will pick you up on demand and would be great to use for those that aren't renting a car and that want to get around. Ask us for more details on this if you're interested!
