We meet at Centenary University through a mutual friend right around Sal's Birthday in 2012. Sal was a sophomore while Meghan just entered her Freshman year. From that moment, Sal and Meg have been inseparable. Centenary brought these two together forever!
We were coming up on 8 years of doing life together. Marriage was always something we discussed. Going through the pandemic with each other, we knew we could get through anything life threw at us. For months Sal planned, prepped, and organized the proposal. Everyone was involved in one way or another and Meghan had absolutely no idea. As time got closer, Sal made a dinner reservation at a restaurant in Brooklyn. This was not uncommon as we enjoy trying new places! That October 17th, Meghan coached cheerleading in the morning and had to get to Brooklyn afterward. Usually Sal would drive in but he worked a team practice that morning. This lead to Sal convincing his brother to drive Meghan in. Once we got to Brooklyn, Sal took us to the restaurant right between the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridge. We had a gorgeous view! After dinner, Meghan asked Sal to get ice cream and he said no... Of course she was upset but just followed him as we walked along the water. He lead her up to a grassy part of the park to "view the bridge". That is when Sal got down on one knee and asked Meghan to marry him. "Cue instant ugly tears"
