How We Met

Highschool Sweethearts...

We first met in the 9th grade (2017). I had never noticed him until then, but Noah claims that he had always found me pretty. We started getting close when we were both in the same choir and became pretty good friends. After we had been hanging out a while, I developed a crush on Noah. Which was surprisingly difficult to do seeing as how he never talked most of the time and could never look me in the eyes. However, I talked enough for the both of us. After lots of awkward flirting for months and months, I decided that I had to make the first move. On our annual school trip to a theme park, I sat next to him on a rollercoaster. Right before our car plummeted down the rails, I gave him the most awkward/nerve-racking kiss. He asked me if I would be his "official girlfriend" later that day.

The Proposal

Happy New Year...

We had both been brainstorming about how to spend our 4th New Year's Eve together while also being safe due to COVID. We settled on a trip to Hot Spring where we have had several dates. On the drive, I noticed that Noah seemed very concentrated and almost had a stern face when driving. However, I quickly dismissed it after he told me he was just concentrating on the road. It was continuously storming that day. After we had a car picnic, he took me up to one of my favorite overlooks on top of a mountain. The rain had stopped for just a minute, so Noah said that we should step out and go under the pavilion and look out at the city lights seeing as how we were the only souls on that mountain. While looking out at the city, I noticed that Noah was no longer in my peripheral vision. I turned around to see where he had gone only to see him behind me, on one knee, in a puddle of water holding the most gorgeous ring. I quickly burst into tears and continuously asked him if he was serious. After I said the anticipated "yes" he proceeded to pull not one, but two bouquets of flowers out of the trunk of the car. The proposal could not have been more perfect.
