Six Flags is super fun, and only about a 25 minute drive from the hotel! Allot a full day for maximum enjoyment.
Assuming that the Festival is back on next summer (fingers crossed!) Ravinia is a great place to catch music all summer long.

A favorite of Meg's coworkers for staff outings, Pinstripes is a great place to bowl and play bocci as well as get drinks and dinner.
Every time Mike and I have attended a game in person the Cubs have not just won but /destroyed/ the opposition. We try to ration our powers for good.
