Jerry saw Megan in a picture and wanted to take her on a date - it's that simple! Here's what happened: Megan was out with a friend, Allie, who went to college with Jerry. Allie posted a Snapchat of the two of them together, and Jerry started replying that he was in Delaware and let's meet up -- little did Jerry know, we were in Philadelphia where he lived! The next day, Jerry texted Allie asking to introduce him to Megan. Megan was skeptical of being set up, but reluctantly agreed to exchange phone numbers and we texted a bit. About 2 weeks later, on December 3, 2016, Megan and and Jerry went on their first date, and what a date it was! Jerry had it all planned out. First, we stopped at a Fairmount bar called Jacks. We sat next to a family at the bar, and after chatting for a bit, they wanted to buy us a drink and requested sake because we told him we were heading to get sushi for dinner. When we asked the bartender, Matt, for sake (note: Jack's is NOT a bar that you'd find sake) he chuckled a bit and then pulled out a bottle of sake that he and his buddies were drinking the night before. It was fate! And to this day, we swear that Matt's sake sealed the deal. Then we feasted on sushi (Jerry already picked up on Megan's obsession with sushi) at Umai Umai before heading downtown to Skygarten where we took in beautiful views of the city. Megan knew at the end of the night Jerry was a keeper! Fast forward through 3 amazing years together, Jerry proposed on October 19, 2019. He planned to have both of our families at Megan's parents' house - and Megan thought she was going to a pumpkin carving party (she wasn't thrilled about it). When we got there, Jerry popped the question in the front yard and of course Megan said yes! Megan was so surprised to find everyone inside (and relieved there were no pumpkins in sight). We can't wait to see what our future holds, but we're sure it will involve plenty of love and laughter as long as we're together!
