Like many great love stories, ours began with a little encouragement from the people who know us best. Meg’s mom, Holly and Jakes’s sister in law, Katie had been plotting for a while, convinced we’d be a perfect match. Katie at the time was treating Holly at her Physical Therapy clinic. After exchanging photos and a little behind-the-scenes scheming, they finally made the introduction. And… they were right! Fast forward to the proposal: Jake, with the help of our friends and family, planned a “casual” camping weekend in Gold Hill, CO. Jake took Meg back to the same spot where they did their first hike together, Lake Isabel. What was meant to be a 3 mile hike turned 9, and Meg was very skeptical on why the group was so insistent on making it to the top. Little did she know he had been planning this moment for months. Once at the top, Jake pulled the ring out of his backpack and proposed, making the moment (literally) one of the most elevated highlights of our lives. Now, we’re excited to begin this next chapter together and we can’t wait to celebrate with all of you!
