The bar where we met! Tips up is a bar located in the town center that has live music most nights of the week.
Our first date spot! Great sushi spot in the center of town.
Big Sky Town Center has tons of shops and restaurants to explore. There are often activities, farmers markets, music, and more. Check the events and dining sections of the website for more! Very walkable from the Residence Inn Big Sky/The Wilson Hotel. Some of our favorites include: - Caliber Coffee (breakfast burritos are great!) - Hungry Moose (great for sandwiches//lunch to go, to go portioned food, snacks, beers, etc.) - Pinky G's (great pizza & atmosphere!) - Thai Basil (we've gotten great takeout here, we're big Thai fans!)
The resort during the summertime includes many restaurants, bars, and activities, mountain biking, zip-lining, and scenic lift rides. About a 15 minute drive from town center!
Great place for a nice dinner, be sure to make reservations before your trip. Tuesday night rodeos during the summer!
Ousel falls is a short and relatively easy hike very close to town. Other more challenging hikes include beehive basin, keyhole hike, and lava lake.
Fantastic hike located a few minutes from town! About 9-10 total miles, but worth it, great views!
Yellowstone National Park is about 45 minutes from Big Sky (there are several entrances depending on where you're interested in going). For those who want to take a day trip or extend your trip earlier or later we love AllTrails for learning more about hikes and activities available. https://www.alltrails.com/parks/us/wyoming/yellowstone-national-park
Our Welcome BBQ will be here, but it's a great spot in the summer for dinner or drinks, great outdoor bar and sunset here is awesome!
On our first girls trip to Big Sky we had an incredible time with Canyon Adventures snowmobiling, during the summer they offer horseback riding and two seater Can-Am machines tours!
There are several options near Big Sky Geyser Whitewater Expeditions and Montana Whitewater Rafting & Zipline - Gallatin are highly rated for rafting along the Gallatin River. We've also enjoyed rafting in Livingston, MT (Yellowstone River) if you plan to spend time there (the Yellowstone River will be more of a float, fun for drinking and enjoying the water!).
