Click the link below for Colin and Meg's recommendations for exploring Barcelona! We also suggest checking out these neighborhoods: Historic Gothic Quarter, El Born (trendy/happening neighborhood), and Montjuic (where the Olympic Village is). Additionally, you may want to check out the Arc de Triomf near the beautiful Parc de la Ciutadella.
Right on the beach of Sant Pol, just below the hotel, you can find multiple water activities to enjoy any time of the day. From water skiing to scuba diving or snorkeling lessons, kite surfing, and kayak rentals. Boat rentals are also available, from small boats to large yachts.
La Gavina Sports Club at the hotel boasts two beautiful clay courts along with two paddle tennis courts that can be accessed through the garden. Ping-pong tables and a mini soccer court are also available for use.
You cannot miss a trip to Girona! Located 35 minutes from the hotel by car, Girona is a cultural hot spot and should not be missed. It’s a gorgeous place to visit, with medieval walls, narrow winding city streets, and one of the best preserved Jewish Quarters in Europe. Many notable scenes from Game of Thrones were filmed in Girona, and you can even take a Game of Thrones tour to see all the spots!
