Lodging in Boulder or Louisville will be most convenient. For a more homey-feel or group compatible options, AirBnB and VRBO has many listings in the area. For upscale options, the St Julien is a modern downtown hotel/spa, and the Boulderado offers a luxurious stay in a historic building right off the Pearl St walking mall. There are lots of hotels in town!

If you don't want to rent a car at DIA, there is a nice regional bus from the airport to Boulder. Uber and Lyft are active in the greater Denver-Boulder metro area.

Walking around Downtown Boulder is a nice way to spend a morning or afternoon - get a coffee or breakfast from one of the cafes and restaurants, people watch, or check out the Museum of Boulder or Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. Visit Boulder Public Library, or enjoy the Bandshell in Central Park. CU's campus is a nice wander, and you can round out an afternoon by visiting the Natural History Museum or Fiske Planetarium. Chautauqua is a classic hiking starting point, but get there early to find parking! The summer shuttle system may be still running, so use that to save money and your sanity. Other hiking options abound near Boulder. Nederland a little west of town is another good starting point for hiking, with a few restaurants for a post-hike meal. Some of the aspens may be turning gold already! Express buses run from a couple places in Boulder to historic Union Station in downtown Denver. Ask us for more suggestions!
