Question

Why are you asking about vaccinations?

Answer

Because our event is large and different rules apply to different venues. Most importantly, we do not want our immune compromised guests to not feel safe. As well, we won't have to ask you to provide a negative Covid test 72 hours prior to the events and we won't have to hire additional help to do rapid tests on site. These are all things we never anticipated having to communicate when we first started planning. If all are vaccinated, we can have a mask free wedding (Yay!). Some venues are asking couples to sign a waiver and are asking that unvaccinated people wear a mask and socially distance.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Arrive by 3:30pm/3:45pm at the very latest. The bar will be open at 3:00pm. It can take 20 minutes from Golden or it could take 45 min, depending on traffic.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes. There is some parking available for guests. You can leave your car there overnight if you need to and just pick it up by 10:00am on Friday.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes - To/From the Marriott in Golden. We will have two shuttles going in shifts so if you make one of those, you'll be good to go. The driver is making one trip and dropping people off then headed back to the hotel to pick up the stragglers. Try to get the first bus - we don't have room for everyone on just one bus! One bus holds 50 people.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

If you are family or from out of state, we are hosting a welcome reception at Red Rocks starting at 4:00pm on Wednesday, August 11th. Please arrive just before 4:00pm because there is a concert (some DJ so I wouldn't call that a concert) and I don't know if the hipsters pre-party in the parking lot first. HeeHee. There is SOME parking by the Trading Post at Red Rocks where our party is, but not a ton so if you can UBER or LYFT, all the better.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Of course!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Not really. Mountain Chic whatever that means 😬. Bring a jacket - it can get chilly at night. MOUNTAIN CHIC according to the Google machine/Rocky Mountain Bride: "This lets guests know to dress appropriately for the mountain climate while still staying elegant. For guys, think dark denim and boots with a nice button-up. Add a bolo tie if you're feeling fancy! For the ladies, consider a summer cocktail dress with boots." Not sure anyone is wearing or even has any cowboy boots but feel free if the spirit moves you. Bolo tie? Like the one Bruce Springsteen is wearing on the cover of the Tunnel of Love album? I don't really see any of y'all rockin' a bolo but again, if the spirit moves. Know that it CAN get chilly at night so you may want to bring a jacket and we might see light rain for 10 min in the afternoon.
