Matron of Honor
Rachel is my sister-in-law (married to my oldest brother, Ian), best friend & all-around amazing human. Rachel & I instantly bonded when she joined the Hill family. Rachel always knows exactly what to say when I'm seeking advice and is always there for support. The two can be found constantly texting, planning their next family trip to Boca Grande or drinking wine on the couch together (in their pajamas)!
Best Man
Brendan is Chris's younger brother and best friend. Chris spent most of Brendan's childhood protecting him from Erica (sorry Erica). Whether it be sandbar volleyball, poker or monopoly, the two are always playing something competitive and Chris enjoys the "challenge". Brendan has been called "King of the Lake" by some as this is where he spends 100% of his summer. Brendan followed in his big brothers steps by attending Michigan State University and majoring in Applied Engineering.
Bridesmaid
Older cousin who has turned into one of my very best friends. Chrissy and I grew up always being gifted matching clothes by our grandma Joan. Although this seemed annoying at the time, both of us have grown to love this about our childhood & are even willing to match as adults. I stood by Chrissy's side as she married "her Chris" and cannot wait to have Chrissy by mine when I marry "my Chris" (we have a lot of Chris's in this family!).
Groomsman
Many say he is known for his beautiful singing voice, but Chris knows him for being one of his best friends through childhood. While Chris went to Michigan State Univeristy, Destin went to Albion college to play soccer. The two continue to bond over their love of sports, poker and video games. Chris was Destin’s groomsmen last summer when he married his wife Sharon, and Chris is excited to have Destin by his side as he marries me!
Bridesmaid
Older cousin, role model and biggest cheerleader. Katie is smart as a whip, the most beautiful piano player and a super mom. I stood by Katie's side when she married her husband Nate in 2012 and cannot imagine the day without her by my side as well.
Groomsman
Dan & Chris met in middle school and attended Michigan State University together. Chris grew up learning to play golf at Dan’s grandpas golf course. This extracurricular activity has transferred into their adult life and golfing is now how they spend most of their free time.
Bridesmaid
Future sister-in-law, adventurer & complete sweetheart. Neither Erica or I had a sister growing up and I think the feeling is mutual when saying how extremely excited I am to be gaining one by marrying Chris. Chris & I dated for two years before I was finally able to meet Erica because she was busy slacklining in Telluride, CO & kite surfing in Ecuador. When we finally met, we easily connected over our love of food, yoga & the prioritization of surrounding themselves with positive, kindhearted people.
Groomsman
Chris met Anthony in their younger years and have grown their friendship through playing sports and a variety of other games. He is known for his extensive and partially fabricated vocabulary and is a favorite date night 3rd wheel!
Bridesmaid
Katelyn & I became friends when she began dating Mitch O'Hara (Chris's childhood friend & groomsman). We took up golf (in hopes to keep up with the boys) around the same time & this quickly became something we really bonded over. I helped Katelyn master her chip shot & Katelyn is still working with me on my drive (Chris & Mitch are going to laugh at this). We are now avid Orange Theory goers (with Kelly too!) and are always on the search for the next best hard seltzer, although we're starting to think it doesn't exist. Katelyn's friendship is so fun (and by fun, I mean, we like to make fun of our goofy boyfriends together) and I feel really lucky to have a friend like Katelyn in my life.
Groomsman
Mitch & Chris met in elementary school and both attended Michigan State University. The two played little league baseball together as kids and as adults play in a softball league together. The two can be found on the golf course together most Saturday mornings and occasionally sneaking out to the golf course on Friday afternoons. Mitch has a tendency to tell very thorough stories, but he *typically* gets the whole room laughing when he does... Chris & I always being the first!
Bridesmaid
Andrea & I became friends when I began dating Chris. Andrea was newly dating Mark Ragland (Chris's childhood friend & groomsman... they are now married!), and during this time, the girls were typically the only "girlfriends" in the friend group, so they naturally bonded instantly. Their friendship grew and Andrea's friendship has become one I cherish. She's become a close confidant and someone I can always count on to be in my corner.
Groomsman
Mark & Chris met in elementary school and both attended Michigan State Univeristy. The two grew up catching animals in their parents backyards, jumping on the trampoline and playing video games. Most people know Mark for being a bit of a clutz (ie. breaking things) and he even knocked over Bauer's Christmas tree one year. Chris was the best man in Mark's wedding and Chris can't imagine our day without Mark by his side.
Bridesmaid
Kelly & I met when I began dating Chris, and Kelly was newly dating Brady Anderson (Chris's childhood friend & groomsman) at the time. We have a mutual love for concert going (even when we don't know the band), we're both avid Orange Theory goers who love a walking recovery and we can probably be found ordering double gin & tonics at the bar (I blame this one on Kelly). Kelly is the ultimate "hype woman" and I admire her extreme thoughtfulness. I cannot wait to have Kelly be part of our special day.
Groomsman
Childhood friend, college roommate, fellow Michigan State University season football ticket holder and ping-pong rival. Chris always believed Brady was destined for an acting career after getting the lead roles in the 4th and 5th grade plays. As adults, the two can be found golfing, playing settlers of catan or meeting up at a local court to play tennis.
Flower Girl
The newest addition to the Hill family, Charlotte (1 yr), is my first niece (Ian & Rachel's daughter). Charlotte was born mid pandemic and was so excited to join the family, she arrived almost three months early at just 3 1/2 lbs (and look at her now)! Her fiery personality matches her little red head of hair and her father will be walking her down the aisle as our flower girl.
Ring Bearer
Logan (5 yrs) & Mack (2yrs) are my nephews (Ian & Rachel's sons). To them she is "Auntie Meeeg" and they certainly have her wrapped around their fingers. Logan made Meg an auntie and has the most hilarious and theatrical personality. He loves uncle Chris and bosses him around every chance he gets. Mack has the sweetest personality and is constantly trying to keep up with his big brother.
Usher
Dominick is my nephew (Rachel's son & Ian's stepson). When Dominick and I met, we spent a lot of time sneaking Coca-Cola from the fridge & sitting by the lake fishing. He goes to Lakeland, the same high school my brothers and I went to, and he is a snowboarder on their boardercross team. He is the best big brother to Logan, Mack and Charlotte, and we feel lucky to have all four of them in our life.
Usher
Ian is my oldest brother & married to my matron of honor, Rachel. Ian & I are constantly sharing recipes we want to try (or want the other to try first!) and critiquing restaurants we've never been to but hope to visit one day. When I brought Chris home to meet the family, Ian & Chris instantly bonded over Michigan State University (both of their almamater) sports and their love for whiskey. Ian has played an important part in my life and I cannot image my day without my big brother there to support me.
Officiant
Max is my older brother and dear friend. With us being only 3 years apart in age, we weren't always so close (I was usually the annoying little sister). As we have grown into adults, our relationship has grown into being one we both cherish. We can typically be found sharing golf scores, discussing our workout routines and looking to each other for life advice. Chris & Max have a mutual obsession... I mean love, for golf. And on game day, they are sitting on opposite sides of the room (Max graduated from U of M). We asked Max to officiate our wedding because we wanted someone we love and trust to play this important role on what will be one of the most memorable days of our lives!
