Meg's View: Cabot and I met through mutual friends in July at Harding's freshman orientation. A group of us hung out later that night in the Student Center. I yelled and laughed with my roommate the entire time while sweet Cabot sat quietly, probably very overwhelmed. Freshman year, Cabot and I went to church every Sunday together, hung out with our group of friends, and became very close. We went to my social club's formal together and studied abroad in Greece and Italy fall of 2019. It was abroad that I realized and finally admitted that I liked Cabot. Of course, I never told him this. Covid sent us home from school spring 2020 and Cabot and I began to lose touch, even though we both had feelings for each other. That summer, he traveled to Nashville to visit. This was not out of the normal, as he had visited multiple times throughout college. What I did not know was that he had driven 8 hours just to ask me on a date. July 18th, 2020 was our first date and we FINALLY admitted to liking each other. July 15th, 2022 is the day I will marry my best friend of 4 years. Cabot has loved and encouraged me since the day we met, and I can't wait to love and encourage him for the rest of our lives! Cabot's View: Arriving at Harding, I knew no one, but Meg was one of the first people I met. We quickly bonded through studying, eating in the Caf, and going to church every week together. Everyone asked if we were dating and we always said no, but it was always a possibility in my mind. It wasn't until the end of our study abroad trip that I realized that the way I felt about Meg was love. Even though we both knew that we liked each other, we danced around the idea for several months. I finally decided one day in July 2020 that I needed to tell her how I felt. So I hopped in my car, drove to Nashville, and the rest is history. Meg is the one I have been searching for my entire life and I am excited to continue our lives together!
