Officiant
Chris and Nick first met in Augusta, GA in 2014, during Chris's initial foray into the working world. Equipped with an excellent sense of humor and an Olympic-level ability to navigate corporate "buffoonery," Nick was the ideal teammate and mentor. Over the years, Chris and Nick have remained close friends, with Nick providing excellent advice approximately 90% of the time, that Chris has adhered to approximately 50% of the time. When you see Nick at the wedding, be sure to ask him about the Hotwire hotel he booked in Louisville on the way to the ND/UGA game in 2017.
Best Man
Chris and Peter became friends at Glenhardie Country Club in Wayne, PA, where they worked together all through high school and college. It was during these years that Peter taught Chris about the powerful investing strategy of converting cash tips into $2 scratch offs at the local Wawa. Peter has always been an exceptionally loyal and dependable friend and is the absolute best person to tee it up with. When you see Peter at the wedding, be sure to ask him about the time Chris took him to Portillo's for lunch during one of his visits to Chicago.
Maid of Honor
You could say that Annie & Megan saw each other as an unlucky rommmate lottery draw through their teenage years. Thankfully, in college, they learned that a little distance—even just a few doors apart in the same dorm—makes the heart grow fonder. After all these years, Annie has become Megan's go-to fashion consultant, biggest hype woman, trusted wellness advisor, and absolute best friend. When you see Annie at the wedding, ask her about the weekend she met her siblings in Dublin during her semester abroad.
Groomsman
Good friends at Notre Dame, it was through Ryan and his family's tailgates that Chris first met Meg, although they would not begin to date until many years later. Ryan's love of games and infectious laughter make him a joy to hang out with—just make sure the room has adequate airflow/temperature controls or you're almost certain to hear something about it. When you see Ryan at the wedding, ask him how great Chris is.
Bridesmaid
To Megan, Alice, Nava, and Claire each offer a vital window into understanding Chris better. Megan quickly saw how Claire and Chris shaped each other's sense of humor, effortlessly (and endlessly) trying out new bits together. While Megan hopes to be as funny as Claire one day, she's happy to exchange thriller and romance novel recommendations in the meantime. When you see Claire at the wedding, ask her about the Phillies bullpen.
Groomsman
Chris and Vince have been friends since middle school, and for about ten straight summers Chris spent more days at the Arenas' house than his own. While geographies and hobbies have diverged, Vince remains one of Chris's best friends and favorite people to catch up with, which would happen more frequently if Chris could just manage to keep his phone charged. When you see Vince at the wedding, you can ask him about literally anything, because he somehow knows something about everything. One time, Chris tried to stump him with a question about nuclear fission and Vince talked for 15 minutes without breaking a sweat.
Bridesmaid
Megan & Megan became sisters(-in-law) over countless hours (and cocktails) at the kitchen table in Larchmont, gabbing about anyone and anything, but especially Megan's budding relationship with Chris! She's an O.G. Chris & Meg fan, but we suspect Megan Gerspach is ready for Megan Gerspach to take Chris' last name! When you see Megan at the wedding, ask her about her golf game.
Groomsman
While Neil and Chris were the same year at Notre Dame, it wasn't until they both moved to Augusta, GA after graduation that their paths finally crossed. Neil is truly one-of-a-kind, much like his 4x4 Nissan Versa that he drives like an absolute madman. Chris would follow Neil to the end of the earth, as long as Neil wasn't the one behind the wheel. When you see Neil at the wedding, ask him about the time he got into the 2014 ND/Michigan game (31-0) without a ticket.
Bridesmaid
Though childhood friends Megan and Imo had very little in common growing up--Megan was a multi-sport athlete while Imo studied Classical ("Varsity") Flute--, their shared sense of humor means they never fail to leave each other in stitches. Megan can always count on Imo for two things: a lengthy FaceTime catch up, and the fact their Spotify Wrapped playlists will never line up. When you see Imo (alias "Ben") at the wedding, ask her about her visit to Chicago the weekend Megan & Chris got engaged!
Groomsman
Chris and John have been friends since Notre Dame. While John and Chris lived in different houses senior year, John was over pretty much every day—typically letting himself in head-first through the front window. Evidently, someone else thought that was a smart idea, because one day we got home and all our stuff was gone. When you see John at the wedding, ask him about his college car "Becky" and how if you wanted to bum a ride to campus, you'd better be in the mood for some Alan Jackson.
Bridesmaid
As fellow Farley's "Finest" and Psych/Econ students at Notre Dame, Claire (a.k.a. "Clur") and Megan had their fair share of hijinks in the dorms, Hesburgh library, and during nights out in South Bend. Megan is so thankful to have Clur (now grandmother to Megan's plants) closeby in Chicago for monthly double-date movie nights and a shared cinnamon roll appetizer at every brunch. When you see Clur at the wedding, ask her about the dance move that took 2015 Junior Parents Weeekend by storm.
Groomsman
One year older, Chris moved Greg into his dorm room on his first day at Notre Dame. Upon seeing Greg's clubs in the trunk, and witnessing Greg's insistence that only he touch them, Chris knew they'd get along great. Many years and many rounds of golf later, Chris and Greg remain very close, and Greg remains very protective of his clubs. When you see Greg at the wedding, ask him to name every major champion since 1990.
