Are my kids invited?

Answer

While we absolutely adore your little ones, we have chosen to make our wedding events adults-only (minus a special guest ring bearer!). We hope this gives everyone the chance to relax, celebrate, and enjoy the weekend with us. Thank you so much for understanding!

What is the dress code?

Answer

Welcome Party: Cocktail Attire. Jackets are encouraged but not required, and no ties necessary! This event will be indoor/outdoor so we recommend bringing a wrap or light coat for the evening. Wedding Ceremony and Reception: Black Tie Optional. Tuxes or dark suits are encouraged for men, and long dresses, elegant cocktail dresses, etc. are perfect for women! October in Vermont can be chilly, and weather pending, we hope to do our cocktail hour outside, so we recommend bringing a wrap or light coat for the evening. But if our Etsy witch has anything to do with it, the weather will be 70 and sunny!

Are the events indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our Welcome Party will take place in a beautiful indoor/outdoor space with a covered patio and heaters. We'll be comfortable no matter what the Vermont weather has in store. Our ceremony will be held inside in the church across the street from The Equinox, followed by cocktails and dinner on the 1811 Lawn. While we're hoping for a quintessential Vermont fall day, we know October can be unpredictable. If conditions require it, we'll simply move the outdoor portions indoors - so no need to worry. The reception will be held in a heated tent adjacent to the 1811 Lawn.

Are there other things to do throughout the weekend?

Absolutely! We'd love for you to make the most of your time in Manchester during one of Vermont's most beautiful seasons. The Equinox Resort and the surrounding area have so much to offer - from hiking, fishing, and 'leaf peeping' to golf, tennis, and exploring the charming downtown. If you're arriving early, we'd love for you to join us! Walt plans to play golf on Friday morning, and Megan will be hosting a casual pickleball and tennis tournament at The Equinox tennis courts beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Whether you'd like to play or simply stop by to say hello, we'd love to see you!
