FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP no later than September 10 so that we can have accurate numbers for our vendors!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The museum is closing at 4:30pm which is when guests are allowed to start arriving, but the ceremony won't start until 5pm!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Only if you have a plus one in your invitation! We have a lot of friends and family that we are hoping will attend and that leaves little room for extra folks!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to already having a large wedding, we cannot accommodate for more little guests, although I know they are amazing- there will only be a few there who are in the wedding party! You can make it a date night ;)

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, semi-formal! Also, the ceremony will be outside and the reception will be in a covered tent. Bring coats depending on the weather!

Question

Are the ceremony and reception in the same location?

Answer

Yes! Once you come for the ceremony you will be in the right place for the rest of the evening! The Hermitage Museum & Gardens is located in the Lochhaven neighborhood in Norfolk, just off Hampton Blvd. between the Naval Base and ODU. Hermitage Museum & Gardens 7637 North Shore Road Norfolk, VA 23505 Please note that some GPS systems may take you to a different location in the neighborhood. For accurate directions, refer to the map above or get detailed directions from google maps. Parking: Free parking is available on-site.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We would ask that you not use your cell phones or anything else with a camera during the ceremony! There will be a professional photographer there and we don't want to have a bunch of phones in the background of all the ceremony photos! But feel free to take LOTS of pictures at the reception and send them all to me afterwards!
